Even if you've walked the Emerald City
till the sight of Starbucks made you hanker for Seattle's
Best, you'll get a kick out of Seattle in the Round,
a city guide with an interactive heart.
You'll access a FREE IPIX plug-in (an ActiveX control
on PCs) to enjoy the main attraction, a collection of
3-D cityscapes. Each photo here gives you 360-degree
horizontal and vertical zoomable views that you rotate
with your mouse or arrow keys. Locals and tourists alike
can see Seattle in a new light, but they may not learn
much about the city because they're too busy having fun
manipulating graphics or sending e-postcards. Of course,
if you're in Seattle and you spend a lot of time on the
Web site, you may want to perhaps engage the services
of the local photography studio behind this technical
gem.
